ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Initial Registration for Overseas Qualified Nurses (IRON)

The application form must be submitted together with:

• The letter from the NBV OR NMBA stating their eligibility to undertake the course
• IELTS examination (academic module) with a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking); or completion and an overall pass in the OET with grades A or B only in each of the four components. Results must
  be obtained in one sitting of assessment and within two years prior to applying for registration.
• Passport copy
• Immunisation history
• Police check
• Nursing course transcript of records (certified copy)
• Certified copy of nursing testamur
• Updated CV
• Certified copy of work certificates
• 2 passport-sized photographs

Once the completed application is received, the prospective applicant will be interviewed either in person or via telephone.
All successful applicants will be notified through their agents or in case of direct applicants, they will be notified through an email. The University of Ballarat will then issue the student with a letter of offer for a place in the course. Should the student decide to enroll, he/she must send back the acceptance of offer together with a copy of bank transfer as proof of payment of the associated course fees.
