About Us
The Australian Academy of Nursing endeavours to provide a pathway of personalised support to :
- Overseas nurses who want to integrate into the Australian culture and register as Australian nurses and live the Australian dream
- Facilitate re-entry of local nurses into the workforce who have not had sufficient nursing practice in the preceding five years
- Encourage and train students in an entry-level nursing course.
Using the Kaizen philosophy of continuous incremental improvements, the Australian Academy of Nursing will achieve personalised integration of nurses, whether overseas qualified, locally trained re-entry registered nurses or entry level students into the nursing profession by educating students in small, well coordinated groups. The Australian Academy of Nursing will provide outstanding clinical facilitation to students in Australian hospitals in order to ensure a smooth transition for overseas qualified nurses, no-fuss re-entry for locally trained nurses and a worthwhile experience for those interested in developing a professional career in nursing.
